Sadly, game one was cancelled due to rain, so we did the next best thing and brought him out to play on another field while there was a dry patch.
Time to Cleat Up! |
The three of us got out on the field and both boys immediately started ganging up on me. I should have expected it. I mean, Trent IS my brother's son. At one moment, Kev taught Trent to yell (at me) "You play soccer like a GIRL!!!" to which I promptly replied "GOOD! Cause Girls are ridiculously great soccer players!!!" Boo Yah Boys.
Anyhow, here's a little idea of how the soccer practice went...
As you can probably tell, we're going to have to work on trent's ability to stay vertical after he kicks the ball, but still. The day was a success and Trent stayed smiling the whole time. Incase you were wondering, so did I.

that last picture you posted... omg so frame worthy! I LOVE it! I feel the same way about my brother. It blows my mind when I see him with his kids :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I just can't get over it. This was the brother that used to give me wedgies everyday after school and throw gum in my hair. But agreed, I may have to look into printing that picture...
