5 years later and we don't want to kill each other yet! That plus we've managed a move, a couple of kiddos, several job changes and a WHOLE lot of laundry. I'd say we're rocking this whole marriage thing. One thing we don't get much of, however is time to ourselves. So for our five year anniversary, my Mom and Aunt Jenny came to our rescue and watched the girls overnight while Joe and I re-lived where it all went down - Clos LaChance winery (our wedding venue), Le Papillon (fancy restaraunt that catered our wedding) and Cordevalle (the resort next door where we stayed). It was crazy romantical, guys. Like butterflies and shit.

On the road! Kid-Free!!! |
First stop was to Clos LaChance for some wine tasting and small bites
|
Wine & Cheese - don't mind if we do!!! |

Killer view of the vineyard |

Vineyard smooches |

I think I'll keep him |
|
Look babe! Grapes! |
|
Om Nom Nom |
We decided to head to the resort next door before the winery kicked us out for eating all their grapes.

Lunch at Cordevalle |
|
Not a bad view in sight! |

Putting green practice |
|
Don't worry, I'm wearing standard issued golf wedges |
Then we checked into our room to relax before dinner.

This is NOT what bath time looks like at our house. |

He just looks so cool |

My Prince Charming |
Once we were dresed up and fancy, we were off to the fancy french restaraunt that catered our wedding. I mean, FANCY. Like, double digit silverware on the table at all times and immediately replaced after each course. Oh, it was a once-in-a-lifetime 13 course meal, did I mention that? But back to the silverware, I was being funny and stole a tiny fork off of Joe's place setting and not 3 seconds later, the silverware man (that's what I named him) came running up, replacing the missing fork and apologizing. It was hilarious.

Dinner at Le Papillon |
My brother and sister in law Megan even setup a HUGE surprise for us and had a bottle of 2006 Dom Perignon waiting for us at dinner. It was probably the nicest bottle of booze I have / will ever have. Almost to nice to drink... I said almost. So we drank it. And then I took this picture. Because I'm classy.

2006 Dom Perignon - All that's left |
After the final AH-MAZING course, we waddled ourselves into an Uber and went back to the hotel. To this...
|
Turn down service. Seriously? |
It was like getting married all over again! SO fun! I almost forgot what romantic gestures looked like. In our house, offering to change a poopy diaper is just about as romantic as we get so this was unreal for us.
The next morning we woke up to....
|
So this is what reading a newspaper is like... |
And ordered room service!!!
|
Breakfast on our patio overlooking the golf course |

Last pic before we head back to reality |
What a getaway!!! We didn't stay long - our tiny terrors at home gave Grandma & Auntie a run for their money, going to bed late and waking up constantly at night, so we needed to tag them out. Seriously though, Grandma & Aunt Jenny were our SAVIORS because this wouldn't have happened without them. We basically owe them forever.

Back home to these rascals |
And as for you, babe... 5 years zoomed by. I couldn't have even hoped for the life that we've built together, but somehow we've managed. You are my rock. My Joey Boey. My Everything.
