Hailey's Big Promotion!

Oh Hailey May, you're world's about to get ROCKED. In a good way of course (mostly). Baby Givens 2.0 is expected to arrive in January! YAY!!!

The moment we found out. Pretty much nailed our reactions.

Just to be clear....

I only peed on 2 tests this time. As opposed to the 37 positive tests I peed on when we found out Hailey was making her entrance into this world... What can I say, I wanted to be sure. I have a feeling this isn't the only thing we're going to be more lax on this pregnancy.

12 weeks and two healthy ultrasounds later, we made the big announcement! Because nothing is real until it's on social media amiright?

We've been preparing Hailey as much as possible, although I'm pretty sure we're just confusing the poor thing. Trying to explain to her that Mama has a baby in her belly has resulted in Hailey's very definitive conclusion that any freckle, scratch or piece of lint on my torso is in fact, a baby.

This time around we're both confident and terrified. Confident that we've technically been raising one child and are physically capable of doing so again, terrified however that now we will have a toddler to deal with at the same time. They'll be 2-1/2 years apart so hopefully they'll be close enough to confide in each other, but not close enough to scheme against mom & dad. (one can hope, right?) Joe and I are pretty set on not finding out the gender this time, mostly just to torture all of you out there, you're welcome ;-) but also because I'm thinking the added bonus of a gender reveal will help motivate me through labor and I'll take anything I can get in that department!

At this point, I'd say that if our hearts grow as big as my belly is on track to getting, Baby G2 will be in good hands!
