Two very important moments occurred on the same day this year... I spent my first Mother's Day as a mom and we celebrated Hailey's Infant Dedication at church! For those not in the know, an Infant Dedication is kind of like a Baptism, except it's more of a welcoming into the church, and it's our promise as Hailey's parents to raise her in a Christian home so that if she chooses to be baptized later in life, she can. I personally loved this option, as I wasn't baptized a baby, but later chose to get baptized in high school, when I started learning more about what it meant and who I was as a Christian.
Another fantastic part of this already-spectacular day was getting to spend it with both of our families, together! This hasn't happened since our wedding, so it was especially meaningful to us. Hailey has quite the supportive family :-)

I think this year set the Mother's Day bar a tad too high... Next year better involve winning the lottery or the ability to turn water into wine in order to beat this one.
