Our amazing friends Cary & Lucas offered up a weekend stay at their mountain house where we could attend this year's Downieville Brewfest... Brewfest you say? Ah-yes please! After some serious packing, and a road trip with MANY pit stops (food, gas, nursing, potty trained pee breaks) we found ourselves in the woods with 13 of our nearest and dearest. 9 adults and 8 kids under 6 in total to be exact. It was a mad house and far from relaxing, but we also had the GREATEST time!

We got in relatively late Friday night, which wasn't so much an issue with our baby who sleeps all the time, but Hailey has a serious case of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and stayed up past midnight to hangout with the grownups! For the record, I went to bed well before that. Sheesh.
Saturday morning was a blur of getting everyone fed and packed up for the brew fest. Even Everett was helping out! **Warning*** Adorable-ometer off the charts approaching...

Somehow we managed to eliminate the Givens car and pack everyone into 3 vehicles...

Half an hour later, we ARRIVED! On time no less! We were actually feeling pretty capable as far as social parents, that is until we opened our air conditioned doors to the 95 degree heat and VERY crowded beer tastings. Pretty sure CPS would have had a few words with us at that moment.

Fortunately, we found a little oasis just off the beaten path of brewers where we could sit down and have a shaded space with the kiddos. We unpacked our strollers and promptly made ourselves at home

We managed to stay a few hours, but we were definitely ready to head back to the Wilder mountain house for some refuge!

Nicholas, Kendall, Hailey & Charlie all had a blast playing in the dirt all around the cabin. MULTIPLE baths were taken to make these kiddos resemble something clean afterwards. I was picking gravel out of Hailey's hair for days afterwards
