Holy cow we have a 3 month old! A beautiful, smiley, coo-ing, sleeping, laughing, rolling, daycare going, perfect 3 month old!
The Elephant is Shrinking! - 3 Months
Hailey is doing great and fortunately SO ARE WE! Thanks mostly to this little angel... wait for it... sleeping through the night! Yep, you heard that right. Almost every night she goes down around 8:30pm and sleeps until 6am!!! (And yes I probably just jinxed it and will have to get up seventeen times tonight for her) Sometime around 2 months old, Hailey started sleeping for longer stretches at night and we decided it was time to move her out of the pack & play in our room, to the crib in the nursery. The goal was to have her sleeping in her room by the time I went back to work. Well, the stars aligned and Hailey decided that would work just fine by her! So here we are, everyone sleeping in their respective rooms through the night. It's heaven.
As for work, the time finally came for me to go back which not only meant an end to my Mommy/Daughter weeks, but also meant day-care and pumping at work. Yikes Yikes Yikes! I'd be lying if I said that was as smooth of a transition as sleeping was in this household, but we're finding our groove with it all, thankfully. Hailey is at a GREAT day-care, which makes that part a lot easier. And she has her friends Kendall, Alex and Brewer who go there too, so she's already popular, basically. Pretty adorable right? Hailey's already looking up to Kendall, and Kendall looooves Hailey. Seriously, she's even helping burp Hailey during the day, it's too cute.
As for work... it's going. I enjoy getting back into the swing of things and putting my engineer hat on, but it's certainly not as easy as it used to be. For one thing I do morning drop-off at daycare before work, so Joe goes to his work early and I get Hailey and me fed, presentable and out the door. Sounds easy enough right? HA! Half the time Hailey manages to spit up on me AND herself as we're walking to the carseat which requires new outfits for both of us. Then once she successfully gets packed into her seat, I have to gather her diaper bag, my purse, my lunch, the pump, my jacket, her milk, oh and the BABY and get us all into the car. I seriously look like I'm going on vacation or a month every morning at 7am when I'm leaving the house. I'm sure this process will eventually get streamlined but for now, we're bumbling through it.
Fortunately I have a ginormous stash of Haliey photos and videos on my phone to help me get through each work day...

Joan and Drew finally got married and it was a wonderful wedding weekend at a quaint little farm in Point Arena (Mendocino). At 2 months old, believe it or not, it was Hailey's second wedding! We'd been to Adriana and Ro's beautiful wedding in Gualala just three short weeks earlier when Hailey was 6 weeks old. Unfortunately our phones had no service so they quickly died before we could take any pictures but their wedding was also amazing :D
Joe was on Daddy Duty most of Saturday while I got ready with the other bridesmaids...
