Nursery In The Making

We currently live in a two bedroom apartment and the second bedroom had been used for an office, but once we found out were were pregnant, it was time for some CHANGES!

Here's the office as it used to be...

Before we could even begin transforming the room into a nursery, we found out that our two precious adorable and loving cats, had missed their litterboxes and peed on the carpet. Lovely. After lots of carpet cleaning it was discovered that not only did the room need all new furniture, it  now needed all new carpet! Sheesh. Here we go...

Carpet Cleaning - Fail.
Out with the old, in with the new!
Voila! Fancy new carpet! Even matches the old stuff!
Time to fill this room up with baby stuff!!! And yes, my giant pregnant self made Joe do about 99% of the work. But I made his baby, so there.

Gotta love Ikea - New dresser/changing table plus cubby storage center!
We figured a dim-able light would be great so I could turn it on super low during the night time changing/feedings without blinding or waking up the baby too much, so the light switch needed to be tweaked just a tad.

And what' a nursery without adorable curtains???

Curtain hanging!
Beautious
Then came the glider, some assembly required...

Glider in the Making
I guess he was tired? Well, at least we know the glider's comfy!

Can't forget the crib!
Now time for some decoration!  I had my heart set on a fun tree design to go up behind the crib so I found one I loved on Etsy and we started putting it up the second it arrived...

One piece at a time!

After an hour or two of branch, leaf, bird, butterfly placement we were done!

Tree's Up!

We still have a some prints to put up on the walls but here's the comparison for now after the transformation:

Special thanks to my incredible husband for working so hard to make this nursery. We LOVE it! And it certainly makes those 3am feedings a little less painful ;-)

Lemos Farm Fun

Now that Halloween is approaching, we've been itching to take Hailey out for some fun pumpkin patch festivities and Lemos Farm was it! We met the Rohrbach family at the farm bright and early when it opened to avoid all the traffic that the pumpkin patches bring in. It was a blast!

Kendall went on her first pony ride and did great!! She was all smiles :D

Hailey wanted in on some of the action so we snuck her in one of the photos too.

Then we went to feed the goats. Trinette showed the kids how it was done.

Joe attempted to get a picture with Hailey next to a goat... she was NOT having any of it. haha!

Not so much dad.
She quickly fogave him and stopped crying for a photo a safer distance away from those mean ol' goats.

Then we attempted the traditional face cut out photo...

Hard to tell but yup, Hailey's crying for this one too LOL... not her favorite part of the farm.

OK one last try, let's see how tall you are Hailey...

Again with the crying?!?! I guess she was bummed she didn't quite hit 2 feet tall. But hey, for 8 weeks old she's pretty darn close!

This was the closest we could get to a pumpkin patch shot... We'll work on it for next year!

There were some adorable wooden pony rockers to play on too

Couldn't resist the name of this one "Little Joe"

There was also a fun mini train to ride so we all hopped on!

Baby Kendall - I could just eat this girl up. Too much cute.

The Rohrbach Family!

The Givens Family!

Despite Hailey's numerous tears we managed to capture so well, I'd say it was a Lemos Farm Success!

Oh Baby!

Well, almost two months into it and Hailey's certainly keeping us on our toes. We keep hearing how much she looks like Joe and I decided to do a little comparison to verify...

Mother/Daughter Baby Pics
Father/Daughter Baby Pics
While yes, there are similarities between both parents, it's hard to dispute the fact that she could be her father's baby twin. Good thing he was a such a cute baby!!! And unfortunately for Hailey, she's inherited my double chin. That's OK though, if anyone can make a second chin look good, it's this girl...

Lookin Fabulous
Yes we do.
Adorable Hat & Booties knitted my Aunt Carolyn!
Watermelon Butt! Hand-me-down from baby Kendall :D
Fashion Show in her Crib
Out like a light
Hoodie Weather!
I could post for days about her fun outfits. Thankfully the camera only shot forwards for these though because as cute as I dress her, nine times out of ten I haven't showered, brushed my teeth or changed out of PJs yet. Meh, she's good looking enough for the two of us right?

Lunch at the Park with Daddy
Evening Walk with Mommy
Watchin the 49er game with Grandpa! Well, at least grandpa watched.
Hailey even went on her first progressive dinner with us and twelve of our friends in the neighborhood. Baby Aiden (16 weeks old) and Hailey were on their best behavior!

Real Men Stroll
But the best update of all is Haliey's new party trick.... SMILING!!! That's right, baby girl smiles! And not just gas smiles either! Real, happy-to-see-your-silly-face smiles! It's pretty unbelievable how much seeing your own baby's smile can fix just about anything. But just to be clear, here are a couple pictures showing both sides of the spectrum...
